Our True Value

“The normal situation is we are buying the goods and services by their corresponding price according to the standards in the market. But in the case of our Lord Jesus Christ, He redeemed us with His OWN BLOOD. He sacrificed Himself for us even though we are actually undeserving or unprofitable. We sinners are unworthy; we have no value at all.”

Have we realized how much Jesus Christ loves us? He gave His own life. He bore and suffered all the pains until He died on the cross. Many people tend to forget or even ignore the reality which should be seen. All the deceptions in this world must not deceive our hearts. Once our hearts become corrupted by false beliefs and perceptions, our hope for the eternal life shall diminish.

We are all mortals. We are not gods who have extraordinary strength and power. But even though we have, we are still nothing compared to God’s eternal wisdom and power. Money can’t buy everything, we already know that. The exceptional wisdom that has the absolute truth is hard to obtain. We are limited by our physical limitations, but with the help of God through His chosen preacher in these last days, hope shall flourish.

  2. Nice, Lester…Natamaan naman ako.. hehe…People who are weak (just like me – – pero paminsan-minsan lang naman..haha) oftenly are deceived by what the world can offer, mostly material things…Sabi nila “to err is human”. On one note, totoo yun kasi nature na ng tao yun pero pangit naman kung isisi lang natin dun.Temptations are everywhere and we tend to choose the wrong path. People sometimes are blind to see what is really “our true value”. Pero I don’t agree that we are worthless, that we are of no value…because in the eyes of GOD, I know, we are worth a lot. 😀

    1. Hi Michelle,

First of all I would like to thank you for commenting on this post. Hehe!

Well, I based the term “worthless” from Luke 17:10. However, most translations mention “unworthy” (or its synonyms) instead of “worthless”. Therefore, to avoid any confusion, I already edited my post and replaced the word “worthless”. Thanks for that!! 🙂

      LUKE 17:10
That’s the way it is with you. When you have done everything you were ordered to do, say, ‘We are worthless servants. We have done only what we ought to have done. ‘ ”

      LUKE 17:10
So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

      LUCAS 17:10
Gayon din naman kayo, pagka nangagawa na ninyo ang lahat ng mga bagay na sa inyo’y iniutos, inyong sabihin, Mga aliping walang kabuluhan kami; ginawa namin ang katungkulan naming gawin.

      LUKE 17:10
So you also, when you have done all that is commanded you, say, `We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.'”
